The service

Pet on Canvas is a custom pet portrait studio that creates custom digital portraits from customer-supplied photos. By placing an order on petoncanvas.com, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, contact us before ordering.

Orders and payment

Orders are placed through our website and payment is processed securely by Stripe. Depending on your device and browser, you may see fast checkout options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, or Amazon Pay. Your order is confirmed when payment clears. Prices are listed in USD. All prices include the artwork itself. Custom Canvas prices include printing and standard shipping to supported checkout countries unless a separate shipping charge is shown at checkout.

Delivery timeline

Standard: Your digital proof will be delivered within 2-3 business days of order confirmation and usable photo upload.

Expedited proof (+$10): Proof delivered within 1-2 business days. Select this option during checkout.

Custom Canvas production and shipping: Custom Canvases are sent to print only after proof approval. Standard U.S. canvas production and delivery usually takes about 6-7 additional business days after approval. International orders may take longer.

These timelines are our standard targets. Occasionally, complex portraits or high order volume may add 1-2 days. We'll notify you if that happens.

Revisions

Every order includes unlimited revisions at no charge before final approval. When you receive your proof, review it carefully and let us know any reasonable changes you'd like: adjustments to likeness, colors, background, composition, or other details. We'll make the changes and send a revised proof until the portrait feels right.

Revisions do not include changing to a completely different pet photo, adding a new pet, switching to a new art style, or rebuilding the portrait around a new concept after work has started. Those changes may require a new order or an added fee.

Satisfaction guarantee and refunds

Our guarantee is simple: love your proof or get your money back. Every order includes unlimited revisions before final approval. If, after revisions, we can't make your portrait feel right, you can request a full refund before you approve the proof, receive the final digital file, or have a canvas sent to print.

After you approve a proof, the final digital file may be delivered and canvas orders may be sent into production. Approved custom orders are not refundable unless the final item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from the approved proof.

If your canvas arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days with photos of the canvas and packaging. We'll replace it at no cost, or issue a refund if a replacement can't resolve the problem.

Cancellations

You may cancel an order for a full refund if you contact us before an artist has started work on your portrait, typically within 12 hours of order placement. Once work has begun, cancellation is not available, but the proof guarantee still applies.

Photo requirements and your responsibility

You are responsible for uploading a clear, high-quality reference photo. The quality of your portrait depends significantly on the quality of the photo you provide. We recommend photos that are:

  • At least 1000 pixels wide
  • Well-lit with your pet's face clearly visible
  • In focus (avoid blurry or heavily filtered images)

If your photo is too low quality for us to work with effectively, we'll contact you to request a better one before beginning. This may affect your delivery timeline.

By uploading a photo, you confirm that you own or have the right to use that image for this purpose.

Intellectual property

When your portrait is complete and paid for in full, you own the artwork and may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes: printing at home, sharing on social media, giving as a gift, and so on. Commercial use (selling prints, licensing the image, etc.) requires written permission from us.

Pet on Canvas retains the right to display completed portraits in our portfolio and marketing materials. If you'd prefer we don't show your portrait publicly, let us know during the order process and we'll exclude it.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits your consumer rights under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects when they were last revised. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
